Privacy Policy

Last updated: 8 August 2026

The short version Fairbill doesn't collect your data. There's no account, no sign-up and no server. Everything you enter — your clients, your invoices, your bank details — is stored only on your device.

Who we are

Fairbill is an invoicing app for independent NDIS support workers, published by Blake Ritchie (ABN to be confirmed), Australia. In this policy, "we" and "us" mean the publisher of Fairbill, and "the app" means the Fairbill iOS application.

What we collect

Nothing. Fairbill has no user accounts, no login, no analytics and no third-party tracking software. We do not receive, see or store any information you enter into the app.

What stays on your device

The app stores the following locally on your iPhone or iPad, using Apple's standard on-device storage. It never leaves your device unless you deliberately share it:

Because this data is held only on your device, it is included in your device backups if you use iCloud Backup or an encrypted local backup. Those backups are governed by Apple's privacy policy, not ours.

When information leaves your device

Only when you choose to send it. If you share an invoice PDF or export a CSV, that file goes wherever you send it — your email app, Messages, Files, or another app you pick. We are not part of that process and receive no copy.

Address suggestions

When you type an address on a client's screen, Fairbill can show suggestions from Apple Maps. To do this, the text you type into the address field is sent to Apple's Maps service, the same way it is when you type in the Maps app — it is not sent to us, and Fairbill stores only the address you choose, on your device. Apple's handling of these lookups is covered by Apple's privacy policy. If you'd rather not use suggestions, just type the address in full — nothing is sent unless you're typing in that field.

Sensitive information

Client names and NDIS participant numbers are sensitive information under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). Because Fairbill stores this only on your device and never transmits it to us, you remain responsible for keeping your device secure and for handling participant information in line with your own obligations as a provider. We recommend using a device passcode and Face ID or Touch ID.

Purchases

Fairbill Pro subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store. We never see your payment details. Apple provides us with anonymous, aggregated sales reporting only — it does not identify individual customers. Apple's handling of your purchase is covered by Apple's privacy policy.

Notifications

If you turn on invoice reminders, those notifications are scheduled entirely on your device. No information is sent to us or to any third party to deliver them.

Children

Fairbill is a business tool intended for adults. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone.

Deleting your data

Deleting the app removes all of its data from your device. Because we hold nothing, there is nothing for us to delete on our end, and no request you need to make of us.

Changes to this policy

If we ever change how Fairbill handles information, we'll update this page and change the date at the top. If a future version of the app introduces anything that collects data, we'll tell you in the app before it does.
